fine February 25, 2006 Martha Martinez (Mexico city, mexico) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
just 4 stars, not what i expected...no one told me that mexican series were the same as japanese, so i bought this dvd expecting the "edited scenes" and guess what, every mexican watched the cartoon 10 years ago as it is in the "new" version!!!! the worst of all, is that i saw the national version for a third of the price, but i have already got 4 volumes of the us version, so i guess i will buy it complete....still THE BEST SHOW EVER...
this is just a warning for mexico, i wish someone had warned me
THE BEST ANIME EVER!!! February 22, 2006 Kevin Garcia (Puerto Rico) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Buy this dvd if your interested in watching dragon ball or are a long time fan, either way you'll get your money's worth. It contains three audio tracks, they are:english, japanese and, spanish. The japanese and spanish versions have the original music and op/en theme songs, but of course the spanish have it in SPANISH!!!On to the english track,it have two variations:dolby surround sound 5.1 and stereo, plus new theme songs and music. The picture is crisp, voice acting is superb and the new opening rocks.I know much poeple distaste the opening cause it's too red but I find it incredible cause it gives you that sense of battle with the rock n' roll BGM.Too bad I didn't bought the starter set for the display box.I will buy the rest volumes after I finish my manga collection of DB/DBZ!
Ultimate Uncut August 27, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Although I haven't gotten the DVD's, I've seen the first 40 episodes of the Ultimate Uncuts as they've been being released on Cartoon Network all summer. I've taped all of them, and a few weeks ago they wrapped up the Goku Vs. Vegeta battle, which, uncut, was freakin' AWESOME! I don't plan on getting the DVD's, as they cost too much, but the tapes I've made are good enough for me. This is the voice actor's best preformences yet, and they must have been digitally remastered. My only complain is the new theme song. They should have inserted the one from season 3 or 4, as those are by far the best ones. So, in short, buy these DVD's if you missed them on Cartoon Network, but keep on watching the series if you have. I hope they air the rest of the series after this!
A Great Start August 25, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just got this DVD two Sundays ago. I watched this DVD 2 times. Once with my friend and by myself. The first thing I watched was the Goku vs. Vegeta Featurette. I thought that was great. Then I answered the DBZ trivia. Then I watched the Nimbus cloud (first episode only), and then I watched the all the episode (without nimbus cloud.) This a is a great DVD if yuo haven't seen the first episodes and want to see them. I would recommend this DVD to anyone.
